Multi-session and multi-person discounts are displayed automatically in the cart prior to the online registration checkout page. As your customers add or remove registrations in their cart, the system automatically checks discount eligibility, recalculates, and reapplies the discounts.

Any discounts customers receive are also displayed on the receipt confirmation email.

Keep in mind that multi-session and multi-person discounts only apply for registrations that are purchased on the same order (i.e. as part of the same cart). This means that if a user registers one child and then registers another child a week later as part of a different order, they will not get a multi-child discount.

2. Can discounts be combined or "stacked"?

You can set up both a multi-session AND a multi-person discount for a season. If you've set up both types of discounts, when a customer is eligible for both, they'll get both. In addition, if a registrant is eligible for an early bird price, they'll get that as well.

When a customer is eligible for multiple special pricing options, the system applies them in the following order:

  1. Early bird price
  2. Multi-person discount
  3. Multi-session discount
For example, if a customer is eligible for all three types of special pricing, the multi-person discount would be applied to the early bird price, then the multi-session price would be applied to this amount.

3. How do percentage discounts work?
 
Percent-based discounts are always calculated off the tuition amount. In situations where the customer is getting an early bird price, a percentage discount would be calculated off of the early bird price.
When deciding which sessions to discount, the system calculates and applies percentage discounts to give your customers the best discount possible.
 
Example:
Multi-session discount that is set up to be 5% off the second session only
Bobby signs up for three sessions, Week 1 - $100, Week 2 - $75, Week 3 - $200.
The system would choose to apply the 5% discount to Week 3, because that would give the customer the best discount (5% x $200 = $10 discount).
