How to Use Background Overlay and Masking in New CUI

On the Setup page, the background behavior can be configured in Look and Feel settings using the Overlay option. This setting controls how the background appears when the Session Selection page is displayed.
 
  1. At home page, click Setup under desired Season
  2. At right side, click Look and feel 
  3. Click Customize appearance
  4. Next to Page background, click Image
  5. Click + to upload background image
  6. Configure Overlay: None or Mask
    • None: No overlay is applied to the background image. The image is displayed exactly as configured, without any visual masking or dimming.
    • Mask: Applies a subtle gray overlay to the background image. Overlays help improve text readability, enhance contrast for important content, and maintain a consistent visual hierarchy across the page. This option is especially useful for light-colored or visually busy images, as it tones down the background so the primary page content stands out more clearly.
  7. Click Save changes on the top-right corner
