Install Registration Reader for Windows 10

  1. Connect Registration Reader to computer
  2. In Windows, click Start Menu icon
  3. Select Control Panel
  4. Set View by to Large or Small Icons
  5. Click Device Manager
  6. Under Ports (COM & LPT), right-click USB Serial Device
Note: Ensure this is the Registration Reader by disconnecting, then reconnecting the Registration Reader. This should make USB Serial Device disappear, then reappear within Device Manager.
  1. Click Uninstall
  2. Restart computer
  3. In Windows, click Start Menu icon
  4. Select Control Panel
  5. Set View by to Large or Small Icons
  6. Click Device Manager
  7. Under Ports (COM & LPT), ensure IPICO DF RR is present
Note: Windows 10 reinstalls driver by default
Note: If USB Serial Device is still present, use IPICO DF Registration Reader Installation Instructions to perform a manual installation.
