A bib sequence can be created at any time, however, the process to assign bibs changes based on when the sequence is created (detailed below):

Option 1. If you create the bib sequence before registration opens, Bib numbers will be assigned automatically.
Option 2. If you create the bib sequence after registration opens, Bib numbers are assigned firstly to those already registered and afterward to participants as they sign up
Option 3. If you create the bib sequence after registration closes, Bib numbers are assigned sequentially according to the order that registrations process (the first bib in the sequence is assigned to the first registrant)

Below are instructions to automatically assign bib numbers by creating a bib sequence with Bib tool

Automatically Assigning Bib Numbers
  1. From Organization Dashboard (HOME), click event name under Your Events
  2. Click Tools
  3. Click Bib tool
  4. Click New
  5. Complete field Name the bib sequence
  6. Select Price Type(s) to assign this sequence to
  7. Click RULE-BASED
  8. Enter a Prefix (Optional) and a number in the box Start bib sequence at under *Configure the sequence
Note: The maximum bib number can be assigned depends on the digits of start number. e.g.: If the start bib sequence is inputted as 1, then the maximum bib number can be assigned is 9. If there are at least 300 registrants included in this bib sequence, the start number will need to be inputted as 001.
  1. (Optional) Exclude reserved bib numbers from this sequence by entering into Exclude a number or range of numbers from this sequence
  2. Check the box to Assign the same bib to members of a self-registration team (Optional)
  3. Check the box to Suffix bibs for self-registration team members with a capital letter (Optional)
  4. Check the box to Assign the same bib to members of a group (Optional)
  5. Check the box to Suffix bibs for relay team members with a capital letter (Optional)
  6. Check the box to Re-assign bibs if participants change their answers before this date (Optional)
  7. Enter the Last date to re-assign in the box (Optional)
  8. Click OK
Note: Bibs can be applied across an entire event, filtered by category, or filtered by price type
Note: Bib number of a cancelled / transferred registration will not be re-assigned to a new participant, it will be locked on the original registration. Also, If a participant transfers to another category / event, a new bib will be assigned to this participant. The system will skip the original bib number, and the number behind that original bib will stayed unchanged.
