The lane preferences for seeding determine how athlete's entry times are seeded within the heat.
  1. SWMM Go to Set-up > Preferences > Seeding Preferences > Standard Lanes > Lane Preferences for Seeding
    • ​​Note: If using TFMM, go to Set-up > Seeding Preferences > Lane Preferences >Standard Lane Preferences
  2. Default Lane Preferences for 6 lane seeding is 3-4-2-5-1-6 and for 8 lane seeding 4-5-3-6-2-7-1-8
    1. First lane listed is fastest seed time in heat, second lane listed is second fastest seed time, etc.
    2. Enter different order to change lane preferences
    3. Leave out lanes not being used
    • EXAMPLE: To use interior 6 lanes when there are 8 lanes, set event to use 6 lanes, and lane preferences to: 4-5-3-6-2-7 (lanes 1 & 8 would not be used)
  3. After changing lane preferences, go to Seeding to seed or re-seed events (from the main screen of Meet Manager)
