There are several different Entry Types available for USTA tournaments. You can view the descriptions of each entry type by clicking the Description link located in the online sanction form. Below is also a description of each entry type:
- Closed By Section: entry is restricted to players who reside in the Section where the tournament is taking place
- Endorsed: this is a process used by National/Sections/Districts to list the players in the order in which they want the players to be accepted into tournaments
- Invitational: entry into this tournament is by invitation only
- Clearinghouse: only used for National Open tournaments. USTA National Opens are help four times per year in each division. At each of these events, four simultaneous 64 person draw tournaments will be held in different regions of the country
- USTA Endorsed: a USTA sponsored event
- Restricted: entry into this tournament is restricted based on rules and regulations set forth by National/Section/District
- Open: no restriction on who can register for this tournament
- Closed By District: entry is restricted to players who reside in the district where the tournament is taking place
