On older Lite Readers, you may need to update the firmware on your network interface controller (called a MOXA). Use the following instructions to perform this update.
  1. Connect Lite Reader to computer via Ethernet cable
  2. Download the appropriate firmware for your reader's serial number
  3. Install MOXA NPort Search Utility
  4. On Windows, click Start
  5. Type NPort Search Utility into Windows search bar
  6. Right Click NPort Search Utility 
    • Note: Install NPort Search Utility if not on computer
  7. Click Run as Administrator...
  8. Under User Account Control, click Yes 
    • Note: May need to enter administrator credentials
  9. Click Search
  10. Select IP of reader to upgrade
  11. Click Upgrade
  12. Select file via pop-up window
  13. Proceed through upgrade wizard
