Instructions:
  1. Ensure that reader power is OFF
  2. Connect USB A-B cable between reader and computer

  4. Click arrow beside Ports to expand menu
    • NOTE: COM number for connected reader will be listed in parentheses.
  5. Locate Lite Motherboard download folder
  6. Right-click tinybldWin.exe > Run as Administrator
  7. Click Yes on User Account Control pop-up
  8. Select COM number from drop-down menu
    • NOTE: If your COM number is not listed, close the bootloader application and open the tinybld.ini file with Notepad. On the COMport line, change the number to your COM number. File > Save, then reopen the bootloader application. Your COM number should now be listed.

    • NOTE: You have about one second (maybe less), between the time that you flip the reader power switch to ON, and when you click the Write Flash button in the bootloader application. If it does not work the first time, you must turn the reader off, and try again.
    • NOTE: It is normal for the buzzer to make a constant tone during the upgrade process.
  14. When update completed, screen will display "WRITE OK", and buzzer tone will cease
