Express Registration (formerly called Mobile Express Checkout) is a free feature allowing users to quickly reserve a registration spot and pay from a mobile device, then complete registration from a computer at a later time. The system automatically detects mobile users and offers the opportunity to register via a two-step registration process. Once the express registration and payment are completed, participants receive an email confirmation. A second email prompts athletes to complete the full registration at their convenience from a computer. This simplifies registration for mobile users. Express Registration could result in a 15% increase in mobile conversion. Some events have seen up to 40% of registrants signing up using mobile devices.
Note:Express Registration must first be approved by an Account Manager and then enabled by Client Care before the following steps are possible
Below are instructions to enable Express Registration
From Organization Dashboard (HOME), click an event name under Your events
Click Tools tab
Click Express Registration on the bottom right
Under the Manage Links section, you can create an express registration link that is specific to certain price types. You can also set expiration dates for how long you want to enable express registration as well as a discount code that is only valid for those using express reg for those price types.
To the right of the created express registration link you can copy the reg link and send it to participants or post it on your website. You also have the ability to generate a QR code form the link!
Manage form/add-ons
From here, you can select the questions participants mustanswer during express registration. Any remaining form questions can be completed later. You can also decide which merchandise is displayed to consumers during express registration.
Click Save
Note: Once this option is enabled, a warning message appears and stating: If Express Registration is enabled, team discounts will not be available to registrants who join teams during Step 2 of Express Registration
Note: You cannot delete express registration once participants have registered for it
Note: Express registration will only work if registration is open for the selected price types.
Note: If it's mandatory to join/create a team it will be added in the express reg form for participants. If it's not mandatory and is optional, participants have to join/crate team via my events post registration.
